When Allen Iverson retired in 2013, it was no question in everyone’s mind that he would one day be inducted in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
That day may come in 2016 as The Answer is now eligible to enter the same club with the likes of other legendary figures in basketball.
Iverson’s eligibility was in question considering the fact that he had a brief stint in Turkey during the 2010-2011 season and a player must be five years removed from playing in order to be nominated. Luckily for him the Hall of Fame has decided to disregard his time overseas, making him a favorite for next year’s class.
With a career average of 26.7 points per game, 11 All-Star appearances, and a MVP award under his belt, Allen Iverson is a clear first-ballot Hall of Famer.
