Deante’ Hitchcock’s BETTER: A Powerful Debut Album from Atlanta
Introducing BETTER, the debut album from Grammy-nominated Atlanta native, Deante’ Hitchcock. Showcasing his unique conversational rhyming style and heartfelt lyrics, Deante’ delivers a soulful and robust representation of Atlanta’s rap tradition. Having gained a dedicated fanbase through high-quality singles and electrifying live performances, Deante’ now shares his musical prowess in this remarkable album.
Produced entirely by Brandon Phillips-Taylor, BETTER features a diverse range of tracks. From introspective and spiritual tunes like “Flashbacks” and “Growing Up/Mother God” to hard-hitting bangers such as “Gimme Your Money” and “Attitude,” Deante’ takes listeners on a captivating journey through his mind. Each song paints a vivid picture of a young man’s relentless pursuit of self-improvement.
BETTER also includes notable collaborations with 6LACK, Miguel, Young Nudy, JID, and St. Beauty, further enhancing the album’s appeal. Released under the ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records label, BETTER is now available on all major streaming platforms.
This highly anticipated album follows the success of two hit singles. “I Got Money Now,” featuring JID, and “How TF” ft. 6LACK, garnered over 10 million streams across various platforms since their release in March.
In an effort to combat boredom during the quarantine period, Deante’ initiated the “Better Living” series on April 20. This interactive social media campaign includes engaging activities designed to uplift and entertain his followers. Teaming up with local Atlanta entrepreneurs and businesses, Deante’ offers workouts with his trainer Antonio Jennings, yoga sessions with Seviin Yoga, and candid conversations on mental health with Lenaya Crawford of Kaleidoscope Family Therapy. Additional activities such as Spades tutorials, Taco Tuesdays, Mixology with Riggs, and Smash Sundays have also been introduced.
Deante’ explains, “Given the impact on small businesses, I wanted to showcase some of the people who keep me grounded and motivated during this time. We can’t simply stay idle at home; let’s strive to make our lives a little better.”
