There will be a new twist to the Arabian Nights movie we love so much.
Disney’s Aladdin sequel looks to have received the green light. Yes, people, the script for a new Aladdin movie is now being created. The writers for the sequel will not be Guy Ritchie ( Sherlock Holmes) and John August (Big Fish) but instead will be John Gatins (Coach Carter) and Andrea Berloff (Straight Out of Campton).
Reportedly, the Aladdin sequel will not be an adaptation of the original sequel to the animated movie, Aladdin: Return of Jafar. It will instead be a unique idea that the writers will come up with. Hence, we will have a new tale for Aladdin and the gang. There has not yet been any casting for characters, but producers and fans hope that the original cast of the movie will make a return to their roles. However, we won’t know that until the script is done.
Supposedly, there are more Aladdin spin-offs in the works. There have been rumors that genie was supposed to get a prequel movie and that Prince Ander’s character is supposed to get a spin-off series to Disney+, that fans aren’t too keen of.
