Though, there’s one emcee that has Vert beat by a long shot. Recently, Brazilian rapper Renta de Santa cut his face to achieve a “demon smile.” Talk about going to extremes.
Renta De Santa Goes For The “Demon Smile”
Brazilian rapper Renta De Santa has been making headlines for his body extreme modifications. One look at him and people find the emcee covered in an array of facial tattoos and piercings. Santa poses as one eccentric rapper. Recently, the 41-year-old showed off his newest addition. One Friday, The Sun reported that Santa had flesh removed from his face to achieve what he deems a “demon smile.”
Further details reveal that “someone used a scalpel to carve flesh from the corners of his mouth, up to his ears.” It doesn’t get any cringe-worthy than that. Unfortunately, Santa has indulged in other body modifications. He also had implants surgically embedded into his head to resemble horns. Additionally, he’s dyed his eyeballs black. Clearly, this guy loves demons.
A Japanese Folklore Legend Inspired The Rapper’s Newest Body Modification
Though, the rap star’s “demon smile” didn’t come from binge-watching horror shows like the CW’s “Supernatural.” Apparently, Santa’s latest modification stemmed from an old Japanese folklore legend. “My new scarification is inspired by the Japanese legend of Kuchisake-onna – the woman with the cut mouth,” the 41-year-old rapper told The Sun. The legend goes that the woman has her mouth cut from one ear to another. If the onlooker doesn’t say she’s beautiful, they receive a lethal response. Can’t imagine how Renta de Santa will respond to his spectators who don’t fancy his appearance.
