With an already crowded music genre, it seems that the rap legends would enjoy retirement and let the new talent take over. Though, people love a great comeback from their rap icons, including 50 Cent. The “In Da Club” emcee hasn’t been in the studio booth lately but he’s getting back in the swing of things. Recently, he announced the release of his new soundtrack for his Starz series Black Mafia Family. It includes some big names in the rap industry, including 50 Cent himself. After wrapping up POWER, the rapper gears up for his newest film project.
50 Cent’s Black Mafia Family Series
Having started his career as a major rap star, 50 Cent has excelled in his poweress. The G-unit mogul has become a businessman and now a major film producer. Furthermore, he’s been the mastermind behind some great shows on tv such as POWER and For Life. Recently, he announced the release date for his newest series Black Mafia Family. This past Thursday, 50 Cent revealed that he just wrapped up filming for the Starz series. Fans can expect to catch the drama series on September 26. Adding more hype to the show, 50 boasted on Instagram that Black Mafia Family will be “bigger” than POWER. Seems like the rapper wants to outdo himself.
The Soundtrack Is On The Way
Along with the release of his newest series, 50 Cent plans to drop Black Mafia Family’s accompanying soundtrack. Originally, the rapper planned to produce a soundtrack for POWER but he seemed to do away with the idea. Now the “Candy Shop” rapper has decided to focus all his musical projects on his new Starz series. Of course, the soundtrack will feature a song from him, but Dugg42 and Jeezy have a collab track as well. However, since Jeezy and 50 Cent started beefing, the POWER executive producer has been less inclined to include the emcee on the soundtrack. It’s near impossible for 50 Cent to form friendships with anyone these days.
