Since the start of 2020, 2 Chainz along with his imprint T.R.U (The Real University) has rebranded Tuesdays on social media as TRUsdays. Introducing a single new track on the second day of each week for the culture to evaluate. Furthermore, each track served as a launching point for our introduction to Chainz’s growing stable of artists representing different parts of Atlanta.
On Friday, this culminated with the release of the Full Album No Face No Case.
The first project is a joint label venture with Atlantic records that looks to establish 2 Chainz as not only one of the best emcees but as a provider of opportunity for others.
With production coming from some of today’s biggest hitmakers- Tay Keith, Hitmaka, TM88. 2 Chainz provides a perfect canvass for his understudies to emerge from his shadow and make a name for themselves.
Over the course of 15 tracks, with 2 Chainz in the background, and the most notable guest spot coming from Quavo. Skooly, Hott LockeN, Sleepy Rose, and Worl take center stage in hopes of adding their names to Atlanta’s storied tradition of producing the next big thing.
Even more, For 2 Chainz, this foray into music executive could represent another successful rebrand for rap God. As he resurfaced in 2012 as 2 Chainz after starting his career calling himself Tity Boi, one half of rap duo Playaz Circle. The rest of that story is rap history, Thus let’s see if Chainz can follow that up with success as a label boss.
