21 Savage Gets Put In The Doghouse After Saying Nas Isn’t Relevant

In the world of rap and hip-hop music, everything comes down to bars and pen game. While most people would agree that Nas is a supreme lyricist, some don’t. In fact, 21 Savage recently offered his opinion on the rapper’s presence in the hip-hop scene. Of course, he agrees that Nas belongs in the G.O.A.T category of rap stars. However, he doesn’t consider Nas a “relevant” star. Unfortunately, 21 Savage’s comments upset dedicated Nas fans and essentially, put him in the doghouse.

Fans Accuse 21 Savage Of Disrespecting Nas

Recently, 21 Savage made a controversial comment that might’ve landed him in hot water with fans. Furthermore, during a recent Clubhouse conversation, the UK artist stated that while Nas still puts out good music, he’s not a relevant star.

Unfortunately, die-hard fans of the G.O.A.T rapper took 21 Savage’s words to heart. They even gas lit the rapper by accusing him of disrespecting Nas’ legacy! When it comes to these stars and social media, any information can be misinterpreted and overexaggerated. It goes without saying that 21 Savage has landed himself in the doghouse, though.

The UK Rapper Clarifies His Commentary

I would never disrespect Nas or any legendary artist who paved the way for me. Some people try to twist things and create controversy, but that’s not my style. I have nothing but respect for those who came before me. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Social media can be used to inspire people. However, it can also lead to social suicide and destroy a person’s career. Moreover, 21 Savage understands better than anyone that information on a social media often gets taken out of context.

Furthermore, the UK rapper responded to the backlash on social media by simply explaining that he hasn’t “disrespected” Nas’ name in anyway. “I would never disrespect [N]as or any legend who paved the way for me. Y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it,” the rapper tweeted.

Additionally, fans further argued that the rapper used the word “relevancy” to explain that Nas’ music seldom plays on radio stations or at clubs. Honestly, we can’t trust social media these days.
